Things that make me laugh #3

Jake Thackray produced some of the great comedy songs of the 1960's and 1970's.
 
Many of his works were influenced by the French "chansonnier" style and are, to say the least, very idiosyncratic.
 
The following song is one of my favourites - clever lyrics and gently amusing.

If there is any truth in this report you have to ask why on earth are our armed forces in Afghanistan?
 
Why would we want to prop up a regime that allows this?

James Gray MP - Part 2

Continuing my quick on line trawl of the Sunday press I thought this story was interesting.
 
Of course, in August you have to take page filler stories like this with a pinch of salt - unnamed sources don't afford a great deal of credibility to the story.
 
However it does serve the purpose of reminding us what a fine fellow the member for North Wiltshire is and what a credit he is to our party. (irony!)
 
Some months ago I commented on James Gray MP.
 
I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep if the North Wiltshire association found a new candidate.
